Legacy Insurance was incorporated in Uganda on the 11th of November 2009, under certificate number 113447, and at the end of that year 2009 the company had achieved a gross premium turnover of Ushs433million [Four Hundred and thirty three Million Uganda Shillings], and in 2010 the company achieved a gross premium turnover of Uganda Shillings 2.1 billion, which totaled to Ushs 2.5 billion only within the first 14 months of our operation.

LEGACY operated as a corporate Insurance Agency up to 31st December 2010. On the 3rd of Febuary 2011, Legacy was licenced by the UGANDA INSURANCE COMMISSION to operate as an Insurance Brockerage Company under Licence number IB/002/2011.

We have continued to post good results, and in the year 2021, we registred a turnover of UGX 5.8 Billion in Gross written premiums

This good performance and continuous Licensing by The Insurance Regulatory Authority, is a true testimony that Legacy Insurance is destined to become one of the leading insurance Advisory and Consultancy Company within the East African Region by 2020.

Our team of young, experienced and committed members of staff is ready to take Legacy to the top and we have been working extra hard to achieve all the set company targets through innovation and customer care.

We aim to be the leading Insurance Advisors and consultants, and we are offering services with personalized and professional approach beyond the expectations of our clientele.

Future Growth

We plan to extend operations within the East Africa Region by the year 2022. We started operations in Kenya in July 2015 and we are now looking at the other countries. However in the mean time we have teamed up with our strategic partners in these countries to ensure smooth service delivery to our clients who are already operating in these East African countries.
